Join us to be inspired and help conquer childhood cancer.

The Parkway Run & Walk, presented by Citadel Credit Union, is an extraordinary example of the mobilization of people determined to conquer childhood cancer. The event began under the Parkway Run name in 2002, fueling 20 years of breakthroughs at CHOP’s Cancer Center.

We are thrilled to resume our cherished tradition of gathering together as a community on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway on Sunday, Sept. 25, for a 5k run an 2k family fun walk. Every team, whether participating in honor or in memory of a child, can take part in a way that matches their comfort and interest level. Get all the details below.

7 a.m. – Event-day registration opens
8 a.m. – Opening ceremony begins
8: 30 a.m. – 5K run starts directly followed by the 2K walk

*If you are walking only, you do not have a runner’s bib and will pick only up a T-shirt.
*If you have a team tent, your bib packet will be at your tent the morning of the race.

How it Works

Step 1: Register

Learn what you’ll do as a team captain. Teams can be any size. The more team members you recruit, the more money you can raise to help conquer childhood cancer! People who cannot attend the in-person event on the Parkway can still join your team as virtual participants!

Going it alone? No worries! You can still fundraise and help the fight against pediatric cancer.

Note: All registered participants receive a Parkway Run & Walk T-shirt, and runners are provided a runner’s bib.

On Sunday, Sept. 25, we’ll gather at Eakins Oval for an inspirational morning you’ll never forget celebrating and honoring our amazing patients and families! Show us your team spirit and wear team T-shirts, boas or capes or wave a team poster!
